AdSense Targeting
The Plugin
If you are using Google AdSense to get some earnings from your website, it might make sense to tell Google, what is actually important in your content. Therefore you should place the famous AdSense Tags for better AdSense Targeting. The Plugin AdSense Targeting simply puts all your posts, pages and excerpts between the AdSense Tags and that’s it. You give the Google crawler a hint, what’s important. If you once think that a part of a post or a page is not relevant for advertisement, simply click the AdSense Targeting button in the editor after having selected the text in question. The ignore tags will be wrapped around your text automatically by a short-code.
History
We were supposed to find a solution for the AdSense Targeting for a customer who works a lot with AdSense. As didn’t find any plugin to do a proper job we just built in the AdSense Targeting into the Ads Easy plugin as it was used anyway. But the the solution that we found for that was not very elegant and we wrote AdSense Targeting as an own plugin.

The current version is 1.5.2, comes with a German translation and should work with all Versions of WordPress.

Installation
To install the AdSense Targeting Plugin simply download it here, unzip the file and upload the folder named “adsense-targeting” into the /wp-content/plugins folder of your blog. Once you have done that, simply activate “AdSense Targeting” in your plugin panel and that’s it. Your content will be automatically wrapped between AdSense Tags.
Developers
The AdSense Targeting Plugin uses the filters ’start_loop‘ and ‚end_loop‘. So, if you want to display the content or excerpt of a post in another plugin, it is better to start a new loop with a new object WP_Query instead of just displaying posts (i.e. by getting them with the function get_posts()
). The text in the plugin get then filtered and the AdSense Tags will appear.

Hi there,
the only thing I can think of at the moment is some adblocker that you might use in your browser. Did you check that out?
Hi, great plugin…thank you! One problem seems half the sites I use it on it doesn’t show up under settings so I cant adjust anything. Is something conflicting possibly? Same theme and plugins on all sites…same host too 8(..
